Can Mold Mitigation Prevent Mold from Returning?
Yes, and it is the only part of the process that does. Mitigation is the work performed at the start of a mold or water damage event: stopping the moisture, protecting occupants and contents, isolating the affected area, and drying materials before growth establishes or spreads. Remediation addresses growth that already exists; mitigation addresses the conditions that allow it. A home where the moisture condition has been corrected and the fine particulate has been cleaned does not develop recurring growth.
Most of the remediation industry begins at removal and treats mitigation as optional. That omission is the most common reason mold returns after a completed job. Mold Relief has specialized in water damage mitigation since 1992, and every plan we write begins there. A Mold or Water Damage Inspection is $195. Includes the areas of concern, the common failure points and the entire conditioned home.

Additional Questions
How Quickly Do I Need to Act After Water Damage?
Within 24 to 48 hours. That is roughly how long wet building materials can sit before mold begins to grow in them, and the clock starts when the material got wet, not when you noticed. A leak discovered on Monday that started Friday is already a mold question.

Water Damage and Mold Jobs
Water damage is the most common cause of mold, and we've worked on both sides of it for over 35 years. More than 15,000 jobs, and we still listen and learn on every one!
Happy Customers
As a former multi-state licensed general contractor, we completed more than 100,000 home service and repair jobs across every trade. That's where home systems fail, and knowing how they fail makes it much easier to find where mold is hiding and its likely sources.
Of Doctor-Referred Clients with Sick Homes
Doctors refer their patients to us. Many of those homes look spotless, yet test results point to an elevated-risk environment. If you or your doctor thinks your home is making you sick, we're the company for you.
